Weather Forecast: God Reigns and the Son Shines

I hope everyone had a great week!! This week has been interesting. We got a downpour of rain a couple of days ago and of course all of our lessons had to fall through that day. We were out knocking trying to appreciate the rain haha! And it's been great to remember everything is in God's hands!

This week we faced a lot of trials. We went to visit a family and they had a pit bull dog. He jumped up and sniffed my companion then came to me and decided he didn't like me as much haha. He became aggressive right when the owner came out of the door. I only have a few bruises and my dress was ripped but I'm okay! It could've been way worse. I know Heavenly Father protects His missionaries!
We were also sick this week so that's never fun.

Here's a miracle!
We were driving to an appointment when Sister Robinson saw a few people outside their house who she felt like we needed to talk to. They didn't want to visit right then but told us that they had a death in the family a few days ago. We set up another time and I am excited to share with them the Plan of Salvation! I love sharing how there is more after this life and how we can have eternal families.

Please pray for
Us to find some people to teach!
Jesse to continue preparing for his baptism

Peach season

I hope y'all had a great week!! I feel like a lot happened this week but I can hardly remember anything haha. Peach season is approaching!! There's lots of peach stands and peach tree farms around here!

On Tuesday we got our friend Jesse on date! He's just the sweetest and ends every sentence saying "yes ma'am!" This was one of the coolest experiences of my mission! We watched the moment of Jesse's conversion! He said the closing prayer and he explained afterwards that that was the first time he's prayed out loud in a couple of years and he is ready to get right with God. You could just see the Spirit teaching him! In that moment Jesse was ready to accept the invitation to be baptized!!

On Wednesday, every door we knocked opened and we were invited in to teach a lesson. This never happens! Such a miracle!! We taught 7 lessons that day!

We saw a jeep show that was near a vineyard and I thought of the scripture Jacob 5:61 "Wherefore, go to, and call servants, that we may labor diligently with our might in the vineyard, that we may prepare the way, that I may bring forth again the natural fruit, which natural fruit is good and the most precious above all other fruit." We have all been called to labor in the Lords vineyard, we get to assist Him in this great work! I am so grateful for that and to see the fruits of our labors.

Please pray for
Jesse to continue to prepare for his baptism

Transfers

I got transferred! I'm now in Graniteville, South Carolina! Finally made it to SC! But barely, it's right on the border of Georgia and South Carolina haha! And Sister Robinson is my new companion!

We had a cool transfer miracle! Me and sister arnett were packing up our car when a guy who works for the apartment complex walked up to us. He asked us if we were LDS. We explained we were the missionaries! He said he had questions and wanted to meet with the elders!! We were able to bear our testimonies and give him a Book of Mormon!

Neal A. Maxwell said, "Our perfect Father does not expect us to be perfect children yet. He had only one such child. Meanwhile, therefore, sometimes with smudges on our cheeks, dirt on our hands, and shoes untied, stammeringly but smilingly we present God with a dandelion- as if it were an orchid or a rose! If for now, the dandelion is the best we have to offer, He recieves it, knowing what we may later place on tne alter. It is good to remember how young we are spiritually." This was our theme last transfer. Me and Sister Arnett were just starting out our missions trying to run one of the hardest areas in the mission! We gave our best and because we relied on the lord we saw success!

I'm excited for this new area! And more excited to see what people and miracles God has prepared for us!

The best week!!

This week was just the best!! We got two friends on date for baptism!! Which is insane because this area has had only two baptisms in the past year! Brandon committed to be baptized may 27th and Kami on June 17th!

Here's another cool miracle. Last week we showed up to a house for an appointment but they weren't home. I felt prompted to knock on the next door neighbor's door. As we were walking over there, a guy comes walking from the road next to us. His name is Allen and we talked for a bit about religion. He said that he lived "over there" pointing vaguely in the direction he came from (all we were looking at were trees). He walked away and I knew that if God needed us to start teaching Allen, He would help us find him again. The other day, we saw a few houses we wanted to knock but they were all on the side of the busy road haha. We ended up at one house that both me and Sis Arnett felt like we needed to knock. ALLEN answered the door!! And he remembered us! I was astonished at how God directed us to find Allen again!

There was another neighborhood we wanted to check out. We only knocked two doors, and only one person answered. And that's there we met Brad! He said he's trying to get closer to Jesus and wants to be baptized because he's never been baptized before. I was so excited to tell him that's what we help people do! After we were done talking with Brad, we got kicked out of the neighborhood haha! It was amazing to notice God directing us to the people He's prepared!

Funny story: I told a person who answered their door that I liked his "Welcome" sign because it was very welcoming.

Please pray for
Brandon to get work off so he can come to church!
Caleb to have his questions answered

Baptisms!

This week felt so centered on baptism and it was amazing! My friends Jimmy and Sofia were baptized on Saturday in Harlem!! We invited our friend Rickell to come to Sofias to see what it looks like and he came!! He's now praying about accepting our invitation to be baptized himself!

We had our last lesson with Alex before he moves to Charleston, South Carolina. He said he wants to be baptized!! I was overcome with joy! Thank you all for praying for him! He's planning to continue meeting with the missionaries in Charleston!

We are teaching our friend Brandon! He is SO prepared! In our first lesson with him we felt the spirit so strongly! We invited him him be baptized and he's thinking and praying about May 27th being that day!

We met with Danielle and had a member join us which was perfect! We helped her resolve some concerns and Danielle was so open! Thank your for praying for her!

Guess what?! Eric texted the sisters and said he wants to continue learning and meeting with them again!! Yay!!

Funny Story
We were in an area with lots of trees and there was a Bigfoot cutout propped up against a tree. We drove past it and with just a glance at it, it startled me! Then later that day when we were back in that neighborhood, I was so distracted by a house with a pink roof I didn't realize Sis Arnett parked right next to Bigfoot! So the next thing I know Bigfoot is right next to me! I have never been more scared in my life haha!

Please pray for
Brandon to accept the invitation to be baptized
Linda to be able to come to church
Albert to have health
Eugene to read the Book of Mormon
Rickell to accept the invitation to be baptized
