Happy Halloween 🎃

I love Seneca!! The work is exploding! We've recieved 30 media referrals this week!! We've been able to talk to a few of them and they are ready to progress! One of these media referrals name is Thomas. We talked to him for a total of 10 minutes and he told us he wants to be apart of Gods people, especially in these last days. He's looking for a good support system and friends to help him get closer to God. So we invited him to church and he CAME (and even brought his daughter)! The ward was amazing and welcomed him immediately. He even offered to say the opening prayer in Sunday school! It was amazing to see that!

We had Nevaeh's baptism this last Saturday! Her dad joined the church about two or so years ago and he has the coolest, most inspiring testimony and story. He is now helping so many people work towards baptism! He was able to baptize Nevaeh and she gave him a big hug afterwards. It reminded me of my baptism, I had the blessing of my dad baptizing me too. That moment reminded me why I'm out here, helping others becoming a family for eternity!
Some missionaries reenacted his story, so I'll put the link to that in this right here! https://fb.watch/nY_5tllcd2/?mibextid=UVffzb

We cover the college campus in this area so I get to talk about Jesus to people my own age... it's been an adjustment haha! It's felt very weird but Sister Phillips assures me that I'll get used to it!

We've been teaching a lot of people and they are progressing! We have two friends who are wanting to get rid of addictions in their lives so they could use some prayers!

Updated Countdown Map

Just in case you haven't seen the full size image of what's off to the right, here's the update on where Sister Alexander is on time, where she's been by area, and Companions...Thought it was appropriate to label Seneca "Clemson orange"...

Transfers part 8

I've been transferred to Seneca, South Carolina! I'm sad to leave Graniteville after 6 months but I'm ready for a new adventure! My new area is at the top of the state, bordering Georgia and North Carolina... I've been on the Georgia border my whole mission!🤣 it is so beautiful in Seneca! We are also right next to Clemson University so we cover a YSA group!

We get transfer news on a sheet that shows who goes where and their new companion. I was looking at who my new companion was and there was an ELDER next to my name! There was a funny little accident on the transfer sheet that said he was my new companion. THE WHOLE MISSION SEES THAT SHEET! So that was hilarious. We got a call from the APs and they told me who my real companion was. It's Sister Phillips!!! She was my companion in the MTC so I am stoked to be with her again! Departing from Sister Clark was hard :( she went back to the area with a new comp and put our friend Cathy on date for baptism!!
We have a baptism for our friend Nevaeh this Saturday! She's so sweet and I'm excited to see her enter the waters of baptism!

Miracles
☆ Earlier this week, we stopped by someone we've been trying to meet with for months! They've always been busy when we ask when we can meet with them but when we dropped off some cookies she texted 2 minutes later and said she really appreciated the cookies and gave us a day and time we can come by! Cookies work! God really magnified our efforts in that moment!
☆ Had a lesson with someone who smokes a ton! He smoked at least 5 cigarettes in the time we were there. After the lesson though there was not a trace of the smell of smoke on us!

Sister Clark and I drew portraits with the Young Women!
This little dog was so excited to see us! He wanted lots of pets and wanted to go knock doors with us all day

Interesting week

Hey Y'all! This week was pretty interesting. Lots of lessons fell through like usual and we've been dropping a few people so we've been contacting and knocking lots of doors!

Here's a couple of stories!

We went to the apartment complex where we were trying to meet thre different people and families. First house. No ones home. Second house, a child answered the door and said her mom wasn't home, "she snuck out the back." That was pretty hilarious! Next house, said they weren't interested either. But all the kids that lived in the neighborhood took us to each of their houses to talk to their parents about Jesus! No one was actually interested, which is okay. It was so fun to see them all helping out us missionaries!!

We went to visit a member who we haven't met yet and we noticed she had a pitbull staring at us through the window! I prayed that the dog would be nice! When she answered her door, the pit bull and three other dogs came running right at us! I had an escape plan (climb to the other side of the deck, outside rhe railing, and behind the chair) but that went out the window since they were almost to us in an instant! But the dogs ran right passed us, they just wanted to get to the yard! Whew!
The member told us she didn't want us to come by anymore and that she wasn't interested in coming back to church. I told her that we weren't there just to invite her to church but to get to know her because we cared for her! She sat outside with us and we talked for a while! She told us her story and concern and we were able to resolve it! God really gave us the right words to say!

Social media finding had been going slow but well! Sister Clark has gotten a lot of comments on her post and even is helping someone learn more about scriptures right now! So exciting!

Nice Doggy...

This week was amazing!! We were in parts of our area that we don't go to a lot so we were knocking on all new doors! It was very fun! We've passed a lot of "beware of dog" signs too. We've encountered a few dogs and luckily they've all been nice! One house, the two big German shepherds could have easily jumped the fence to get to us but the owner just happened to be outside to tell them not to!

We had a mission wide zoom call to discuss a goal we all wanted to work towards. President Hamblin called on someone to say the opening prayer and I thought to myself, "I'd probably say no if I was called on to say the prayer in front of the whole mission!" You can probably guess what happened... I was asked to say the closing prayer. Humbling experience for sure. Haha!

Went on exchanges with Sister Freeman! I know her from my first area! We had a blast! Had a lesson with our friend Corbin! He said his first prayer in that lesson and it was such a sweet moment! I know Heavenly Father hears every prayer we say and He cares enough to listen!

Please pray for

General Conference!

General Conference was this weekend! I hope yall enjoyed it! I loved all of the talks! I love hearing the words from God's chosen prophet and apostles! We were able to watch with families and friends we're teaching!

One of my favorite talks was by Elder Uchtdorf talking about the prodigal son and how God rejoices when we return to Him. Last week we went to visit Ervin. When we got there, he was sitting on the porch with another lady. Her name is Victoria and is actually a member! She grew up in the church but left later in life. Recently she told us she wants to come back to the church and was saying how glad she was that God lead us to her. I was brought to tears as I was testifying that I know God is rejoicing at her decision to come back. I know God loves and is aware of each of us and He values every one of His children.
On another note, with the colder weather coming in, we've had the privilege of seeing palmetto bugs in our apartment. Which are just giant cockroaches that can FLY! So that's been keeping us on our toes. I'm seriously always on the lookout, expecting to see one!
