This week was pretty rough. My companion had a cold last week so there was no avoiding that; I got sick too. But I'm getting over it quickly, so that's been good! A lot of our lessons most days fell through and no one wanted to hear from us. But that just gave us an opportunity to visit more people!
An update on our friends:
▪︎ Eric decided he wants to take a break from meeting with us :( That's been really sad.
▪︎Janelle has lots of questions and went to google... so that made things tough. But she's willing to hear more from us so that's good!!
▪︎Trent (the one who texted us asking when he can be baptized) won't respond to us anymore which is really devastating. Hopefully he will reach out again soon.
▪︎Rose is back home healing from her knee replacement. She doesn't want a priesthood blessing though :( we're going to give her a large print book of Mormon though so she can actually read the words haha
☆ The Hadlocks are my favorite! We've been eating with them for the passed few Mondays and they're so fun! The wife, Debra, isn't a member but reading the Book of Mormon is on her bucket list! We started reading that with them!
Miracles
☆ we finally got in contact with a family whos daughter isn't baptized after trying for months! She had a baptism date and everything but then complications got in the way of that happening and we haven't been able to meet with them in a long time.
▪︎we got in contact with another family with a son who is wanting to be baptized. We've also been struggling to catch them at a good time so it was a miracle we caught them when we did. We were talking with the mom and son when the moms boyfriend pulled up! He was able to join us for a short lesson about prayer, it was perfect!
Good parts of the week:
▪︎my companions had a meeting they had to go to since they're Sister training leaders, so I got to spend the day with another companionship! That was really fun! We served at the soup kitchen, then we got Zaxbys and ate at a park :)
☆we were playing the song "Savior, Redeemer of my Soul" and I caught the verse "And filled with sweet my bitter cup" and that reminded me of the Passover meal I had in seminary! When we ate the bitter herbs, that taste lingers for a long while. But when I ate the lamb meat the taste of the bitter herbs was gone instantly. That is what the Atonement of Jesus Christ can do for everyone. I am so grateful that through the Atonement I can feel peace and unburdened by sin.
I love you all! Shout outs go to Michelle and Ayns!
