We've been struggling with finding some new friends as well as helping the ones we are teaching to progress. We went to Kathy's house for our lesson, knocked three times and no one answered. We were writing a note when we hear someone inside say, "who is it?" We said through the door, "the Sister missionaries" she told us to come in. When we got inside the house, it's not Kathy who let us in but a family member! She told us Kathy was in the back. We walked back looking for Kathy and a long story short... we did not find Kathy! So we left absolutely defeated!
We tried SO hard to get in contact with another one of our friends, Jessie. Knocked on her door three times, called her and no answer. Walked around the apartment complex and came back 30 min later to knock another two times, called and left a message. Nothing!
But the Lord saw our efforts and blessed us! This week we found 13 new people to teach! The most I've ever found in a week my whole mission is maybe 8! And we found 6 of those people just yesterday!
Miracles!
We went to visit a media referral, Ernestine, who we haven't been able to get in touch with over the phone. A woman answered the door and let is in, but didn't remember making the online request to meet with us. We talked about the Book of Mormon with her and she seemed interested. As we were about to leave, she gave us her contact info so we could get in touch with her, but said her name was Shirley! BUT her sister Ernestine lived there, so Shirley went and got her, and we taught about the Book of Mormon again to Ernestine. Now both of them are interested, are going to read the Book of Mormon, and want to meet with us again!
We went to visit another one of our media referrals and we met her and her two daughters! They are so sweet and I'm excited to teach this family!!
Hebrews 11:6
But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.
