I watched a police officer save a turtle👮‍♂️

What's up y'all! Spring is coming! The grass and trees are getting greener and flowers are starting to bloom! I'm also excited for St. Patrick's day! It's this weekend and it's a HUGE thing celebrated in Savannah! There's going to be a massive parade downtown and it's the 200th anniversary of this specific St Patrick's day parade so they're going extra big!! ☘️🎊

This week was full of meetings. We drove to Columbia for MLC and it was sooo foggy that morning! 😶‍🌫️ That meeting was amazing! We are seeing lots of change in the mission and so figuring things out for the zone and answering questions have been challenging in the best ways.

Then we had Zone Conference!  President and Sister Hamblin gave us great training on faith and personal revelation! President shared an amazing story about a boy who was hired to do landscaping for an older lady for the summer. The lady told the boy she would pay him $1, $3, or $5 depending on how well he did. Well this boy did his job as best as he could and received $3 every time. Even when he tried harder and harder to do a $5 job the lady saw it as a $3 job. This young boy was determined to get $5 by the end of summer so on the night before his last day he laid in bed thinking about how he could make this lady's yard look the best its ever been. He would take out the crab grass and replace that with flower beds, put in fresh mulch, and exchange the dead bushes for beautiful trees. The next morning he got to work on what he envisioned for the yard. By the time he finished, he had so much joy in work, he completely forgot about the reward! The lady gave him $10! What I took away from this story is how looking for ways to improve and do better next time then the next brings us joy and it's the change in ourselves that is the reward, not an outside monetary value.

The other day we saw a turtle crossing the road! 🐢 I saw it because I almost ran over it... Sister Bruce made us pull over because she's an avid turtle saver! As we supervised the turtle crossing the road, a police officer drove by! He saw the turtle near the curb and pulled over to pick the turtle up and put him in the grass!

Huge Miracle❗️
We've been trying to meet this family (parents are members and kids are not) for so long and all we have availed is talking to the husband for a minute at the doorstep. Well, this family just showed up to church two weeks ago and the Mom signed up to feed us! So we got to meet/ get to know them while eating chick fil a! After we shared our little message I asked if there is anything we can do for them. Kimora, the daughter said "I don't know if this is something you could help me with or not but I really feel like I need to be baptized"  I wish I could've seen our faces in that moment! We were able to set up a time to meet with them twice a week and teach her the gospel!! Sister Bruce and I skipped back to our car and said a gratitude prayer! I felt so much joy in that moment and I am so grateful we'll be able to teach her. God is good!

We went to visit our media referral, Tammy, but when we got there she said she tried to cancel the request. However, she said we could come back the next day so we did! Within 5 min of us being there she opened up about the trials she is facing right now. I felt strongly that we needed to share the book of Mormon with her! She was SO grateful for this book. I have never seen someone more grateful for a book of Mormon and it was the sweetest moment for me to see someone who desired to read it! Tammy definitely recognized her prayers were answered through us and that the book of Mormon has the answers she's looking for. I know the book of Mormon is God's gift for us to find peace and hope in this world and that it brings us closer to Jesus Christ who is the one who can lift all of our burdens.
